Deliverable 2.3 Upgraded info-base
MarineTT developed and launched the Marine Knowledge Gate 1.0, an online infrastructure to collate, manage and deliver information from EU-funded marine research projects and the Knowledge Outputs (KOs) generated by these projects. The Marine Knowledge Gate 1.0 evolved from the existing EurOcean database of the EurOcean European Marine Research Funded Projects Infobase (EurOcean_MaP Infobase), which provided information on marine science and technology projects. During MarineTT the functionality of the infobase was extended by including critical fields such as: stated aims and objectives vs. actual outputs, research performers, research outcomes, research methodologies, products, and other relevant information.

Deliverable 3.1 A Matrix Template
Deliverable 3.1 is the template of the Knowledge Output Table (KOT) showing each of the different information fields required for all MarineTT projects surveyed. This template was used during the “Collection Phase” of the online survey and was specifically developed to asssit in standardising the collection provess and in making information on Knowledge Outputs (KOs) generated by projects more accessible. Fields focused on Knowledge Transfer elements including: Potential end-users, Intellectual Property Rights associated with the KO, details of the Knowledge Transfer of the KO to date and its status (completed or not). The KOT assists the MarineTT team in assessing the potential impact of the KO and informs the Knowledge Transfer strategy need for that specific output.

Deliverable 3.3 Recommendations for consideration
The Knowledge Outputs (KOs) collected during the Collect & Understand Step of MarineTT were subject to additional internal MarineTT review and external expert validation. This review and validation process helped to determine the potential impact of the KO on end-users, i.e., its potential application and the most appropriate medium for Knowledge tTansfer. Deliverable 3.3 provides a description both of the expert review process and the ways in which Knowledge Outputs were identified as possessing high potential to impact end users. These high potential projects were forwarded to the Transfer & Connect phase.

Deliverable 4.1 Invitations to participate
Deliverable 4.1 contains the invitations to participate as well as the context documents for each of the two workshops which were hosted by MarineTT:
• From Marine RTD to Measurable Value Creation - An Open Stakeholder Workshop to Explore the Challenges and Solutions to Effective Knowledge Capture and Transfer (23 May, 2012)
• How do we get more Innovation from Research? - Bringing together and learning from pioneering initiatives and novel approaches (19 July, 2012)

Deliverable 4.2 Agendas
Deliverable 4.2 contains the agendas of the two workshops which were hosted by MarineTT:
• From Marine RTD to Measurable Value Creation - An Open Stakeholder Workshop to Explore the Challenges and Solutions to Effective Knowledge Capture and Transfer (23 May, 2012)
• How do we get more Innovation from Research? - Bringing together and learning from pioneering initiatives and novel approaches (19 July, 2012)

Deliverable 4.3 Workshop Proceedings
Deliverable 4.3 provides the proceedings from the two workshops below and includes the context for the workshops, the participants and the presentations given at the workshops.
These workshops discussed the barriers to stakeholder access and uptake of relevant knowledge and innovation.

Deliverable 4.4 Handbooks
Deliverable 4.4 are handbooks of presentations given at both of the MarineTT workshops. The handbooks also record the outcomes from the workshops. It notes the observations, the discussions and recommendations coming from participants that can be used to inform current practices of knowledge transfer from European-funded research.

Deliverable 5.2 Knowledge delivery plan
Deliverable 5.2 provides the specific Knowledge Delivery Plans developed for each Case Study. It provides a detailed record of the Case Studies which successfully came through the Analyse & Understand process to undergo customised Knowledge Transfer by MarineTT. The Analyse & Understand phase included a Due Dililgence process which was carried out to detmine the closeness of the KO to market and wainvolved the full engagement of the Case Study project coordinator. MarineTT recognised that Knowledge Trnasfer is not a “one size fits all” option but should be tailor made to the specifics of each Case Study. This Deliverable records the barriers to transfer experienced by coordinators of Case Study projects and outlines the different MarineTT approaches to overcome them. It also measures the short term impact of the knowledge transfer activities and gives a projected long term impact for each Case Study.

Deliverable 5.4 Assessment report
Deliverable 5.4 “Qualitative and Quantitative assessment report of Knowledge Transfer” provides an analysis of the MarineTT Transfer & Connect methods and details of the tailor-made Knowledge Transfer plans developed for each Case Study.
Partner responsible: AquaTT
Deliverable 5.5 Guidelines on sustainable management of marine resources
Deliverable 5.5 provides a critical review of the Knowledge Management and Transfer methodologies developed by MarineTT. This review assesses the elements of the methodology that worked well and those that require further refinement or development. It describes the findings and insights gained by the MarineTT team through execution of the project and interacting with actors in the research system. Though MarineTT focused on Marine research, barriers encountered were universal and the findings have applications across the research community. Teh deliberate decision to open publish the MarineTT results it is hoped that future knowledge transfer initiatives can build upon the significant advances of the project.

Deliverable 5.6 Prototype Online Analytical Tool
Deliverable 5.6 is a Prototype Online Analytical Tool which improves the functionality of the Marine Knowledge Gate by providing tailored search components that allow users to extract both quantitative and qualitative information for further analysis. The search options available can be divided into the two main interlinked components of the infobase: ‘Projects’ and ‘KOs’. The new tailored search system of this innovative online tool provides powerful analytical potential for various users.

Deliverable 6.2 Project Brochure
Deliverable 6.2 is a Project Brochure that provides an overview of the MarineTT project including its objectives and advantages. The project brochure was an element of the MarineTT project brand and was used to raise awareness of the project. It was widely distributed at meetings, conferences, workshops, events, and direct mail as required.

Deliverable 6.3 Project website
The project official website (URL: www.marinett.eu) is the main source for the promotion of MarineTT related information, deliverables and products. It was developed at the start of the project and is updated regularly. It sets out project objectives, progress and achievements. It also includes general information on the project, partner information and a link to the Marine Knowledge Gate. It was used to support the organisation of the stakeholder workshops and project outcomes. The website also houses the MarineTT clustering tool - a visual mapping of the projects included in the MarineTT collection and survey process. Projects are clustered according to similarity of subject, field or scope and the tool provides details on the provision of funding per cluster.

Deliverable 6.4 Press Releases
Deliverable 6.4 Press Releases provides a description of the seven press releases generated thoughout the lifetime of the MarineTT project. Press releases were developed to publicise the MarineTT project, its objectives and its major products. Press releases were aslo created to advertise and promote major events organised by MarineTT including the initial anouncement of the two Knwoldge Transfer workshops.
